The families of October 7 victims, along with the October Council, announced on Tuesday that they will gather on Thursday in the Gaza envelope communities to commemorate the 1,000 days since the October 7 Massacre and demand an investigation into the failures that led to the attack.
The convoy plans to gather in Kibbutz Re’im’s parking lot on Thursday and march around the Gaza border, passing by sites attacked by Hamas on October 7.
The protest will march along Kerem Shalom, Nir Oz, Nirim, Ein Hashlosha, Kissufim, Be’eri, Alumim, Nahal Oz Outpost, Givat Hatzfitniyot, Kfar Gaza and the Police Memorial in Sderot.
The gathering will be open to the public, with the October Council inviting the public to participate or support it by lining the road with Israeli flags.
The families announced that Liad Baram, father of Sgt. Neta Baram, who fell in battle at the Nahal Oz outpost, and Yoram Yehudai, whose son Ron was killed at the Nova music festival.

Ceremony in Tel Aviv’s Hostage Square
The event will end with a ceremony in Tel Aviv’s Hostage Square, which was the main gathering place where people gathered during the hostage crisis to demand the return of the Israelis held in Gaza.
The site is planned to be renamed “Square of Remembrance” following the event, according to Israeli media reports.
Additionally, Israeli media also reported that protests are being planned in the Prime Minister’s residence in Jerusalem and at major intersections across the country.
Finally, the October Council asked all Israelis to have a minute of silence in remembrance of the victims at 10 a.m., while the main rally is expected to happen at 8:00 p.m.
