Mexico woman arrested on 44 animal abuse counts after 160+ animals removed from property, sheriff’s office says

MEXICO, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Connie Sok, 55, is in custody regarding an animal abuse complaint filed Friday, April 17, 2026.

The arrest comes about a week after the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office and multiple volunteers removed over 160 animals, both living and dead, from a property on 90 Tudo Road in Mexico.

The Oswego County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement that Suk was arrested at her Tudo Road residence on April 24 and charged with 44 counts of overdriving, torturing and injuring animals/failure to provide proper sustenance and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. All of the charges are misdemeanors.

She will be arraigned at Oswego County’s centralized arraignment court

The incident is still under investigation.
