The family members of Ashlee Jenae, who died in Tanzania on April 10, launched a GoFundMe to raise $50,000 from the general public to assist with funeral expenses as well as costs related to the investigation overseas.
The fundraiser was set up by Ashlee’s father, Harry Robinson. According to him, the money is to be used to address the “unexpected expenses” arising from dealing with the tragedy overseas. The influencer was discovered unconscious at a resort villa, which led to her being hospitalized. On the following day, Ashlee’s life ended.
Once the fundraiser was made public, people began to suspect that it was Ashlee’s fiancé, Joe McCann. This man is the founder/CEO of Asymmetric Financial (a crypto-focused investment firm) and has an approximate net worth of $45 million.
Suicide might have been a possible cause of death, but no information has been revealed regarding this fact yet. Another factor mentioned by local officials was a conflict between Ashlee and her fiancé, which led to their being placed in separate rooms at the hotel.
The case is under investigation at the moment.
